How to Apply to YCCS

  Application information for year 2018 admission is now available!

Please submit the following materials during the period between 1 December 2017 and 31 January 2018.

Required Materials

  • Checklist (template format by PDF)
  • Application form (template format by PDF)
  • Scanned copy of senior high school graduation (completion) certificate (by PDF or JPEG)
  • Scanned copy of academic transcript and other certificates from senior high school (by PDF or JPEG)
  • Academic performance entry sheet (template format by Excel)
  • Scanned copy of certification of English language proficiency (by PDF or JPEG)
  • Two self-introduction videos (by uploading online)
  • Presentation material from the second video (by PDF or PowerPoint)
  • Scanned copy of letter of recommendation (template format by PDF or JPEG)
  • Scanned copy of passport and residence card (by PIDF or JPEG)
  • Receipt for payment of the application Fee (Fee: 5000 yen, by PDF or JPEG )

How to Pay the Application Fee

a) Pay by credit cards (Both in Japan and outside Japan)
From outside Japan Credit cards (VISA, MasterCard, JCB, American Express, MUFG, DC, UFJ, NICOS) and UnionPay cards are accepted. Click here for details.

b) Pay at convenience stores (Only in Japan)
Payments can be made at convenience stores (Seven-Eleven, Lawson, FamilyMart, Circle K and Sunkus only). Please use the information terminal device located in the stores. Payment must be made at the check-out counter. ATMs are not available for the payment. Click here for details(Japanese version only).

Howe to Submit the Application Materials

Please submit the above mentioned application materials by email to Yokohama National University YCCS Program Admissions Office during the application period. An application Identification Number will be issued by email when the application is received by the YCCS Program Admissions Office. Please note that the application will not be accepted if it is not completed or if it arrives after the application period. Please also note that although the applicant is not required to submit the original documents (or the certified true copies issued by public institutions such as the applicant's high school or embassy) at the time of application, the successful applicant who wishes to enroll in the YCCS Program must submit them during the designated enrollment period.

If the applicant's institution posts the original or certified true copies of such documents as the certificate of expected graduation (completion), academic transcript and letter of recommendation directly to the YCCS Program Admissions Office, please be sure to have the institution submit them by the deadline, giving full consideration to mail delivery conditions.
